Gonzales played basketball and soccer all four years at EHS, was involved in the newspaper and National Honor Society and has volunteered in various events. Gonzales plans to attend University of Colorado-Denver and study elementary education.

What profession to you want to pursue and why?

I want to be an elementary school teacher. I have volunteered working with kids. I guess the reason I want to be an elementary school teacher is because I love kids.

What do you hope to accomplish in life?

I want to work hard to be a good teacher. I want to work with each and every student in my class. I know that education is very important so I want to do everything I can to help all the kids I teach get a good education so they can get ahead in life.

If you could do anything it would be to ...

Redo my high school career. If I could do that I would get in a lot more activities like student government. I would still be very involved in athletics, but I would be part of other athletic teams and not just varsity soccer and basketball.
