Regarding the ad “Read Before You Sign” in the July 19 newspaper and the absence of any specifics of the “tens of thousands of jobs,” or the “billions in economic activity,” to be lost:
With this vague fear mongering, and the admonition of “we urge you to look a little deeper and consider the consequences,” and no mention of what initiatives it’s referring to, is this ad just the beginning of exaggerations and falsehoods?
By all means, read the initiatives, especially 97, to see that it will provide a larger protective barrier — 2,500 feet for homes and schools — than the current 500 feet for homes and 1.000 feet for schools. Five hundred feet is little more one and a half times the length of a football field.
