Keep Barrentine, do audit

Regarding the recall and forensic audit:

People who know me, know I’m not a friend or fan of Randy Penn, Jim Woodward or Laurett Barrentine. I have sat through years of council meetings and spoke up when I thought it might help. Elaine Hults and I started a petition in 2013 to save our Englewood parks. We were joined with lots of other caring people. We turned in close to 1,000 signatures of people who knew the Santa Fe Depot was to be an Englewood museum and landmark. Most of the council couldn’t have cared less. They sold it anyway! Randy Penn, Jim Woodward and Linda Olson voted to sell the Santa Fe Depot to Mr. Parson for $30,000. The Englewood Historic Preservation Society had planned to make it a museum.

My source link is city council records: If there is nothing to hide, why not have a forensic audit? I have heard of lots of skeletons and puppets in the closet. It’s time we learned the truth. If this recall goes through it could cost the city close to $30,000 and Ms. Barrentine could run again next summer. Why throw away $30,000 for nothing? Vote “no” on the recall of Laurett Barrentine and save the city $15,000. Why the recall and why now? Do the forensic audit and put an end to this hanky-panky. If there are any misdeeds it should finally be brought to the surface and punished!
