Spring news from the Audubon Center: A flock of Bohemian waxwings was seen en route towards its warm-weather quarters to the north — a happy sign that spring may actually “spring” one of these days ... These handsome crested birds travel north in flocks, showing splashes of white, yellow and a wee bit of red on wings, among the mostly gray feathers. Watch in yards and parks for other migrating birds. Keep the binoculars and field guide at hand so a movement in that shrub can be checked!
