Calling all outdoor enthusiasts and fitness buffs looking to change things up. This spring, changing your workout could change someone’s life at the Climb4Change event Saturday, May 22.

Climb4Change raises money and awareness for the Castle Rock adaptive recreation program. The program supports members of the community, and their families, who have cognitive and physical disabilities and helps them live an active lifestyle. Funds raised at the event provide scholarships and adaptive equipment for the recreation program.

These professionally timed events will be 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Challenge Hill at Philip S. Miller Park. The 200 steps offer a workout and a way to give back to the Castle Rock community. The Climb4Change events are:

Power Hour: Go up and down the stairs as many times as you can in 60 minutes (three times to choose from)

ClimbNRun 5K/10K: Climb the stairs, down the switchbacks and run the trail

Trail Reps: Go up the stairs, down the trail and repeat for 30 minutes

Race to the Top: Go up the stairs once as fast as possible

Run4Fun: Take a self-guided walk, run or jog anywhere on the trails (non-timed)

Fees range from $18 to $45. Children under 5 are free but must be registered. Head to CRgov.com/Climb4Change for more information and registration.
