The Englewood Veterans Memorial Celebration at Englewood High School, to be held the day before Memorial Day, will honor those who have served our country. The Englewood Veterans Memorial stands in front of the school, 3800 S. Logan St., and the event recognizes every veteran everywhere.

The program for 2019 will feature a Gold Star Family who has lost a son or daughter in service; the Honor Bell forged in bronze, including medals and insignia from veterans; the Missing Man Ceremony for those whose remains never returned home; and musical presentations by Rocky Mountain Brassworks, including the Armed Forces on Parade and a soulful Bugles Across America echo rendition of “Taps.”

The celebration begins at 4 p.m. May 26.

The Englewood Veterans is surrounded by pavers with the names of those who served or continue to serve in the armed forces. Pavers already ordered this year will be added in time for the celebration. For information about pavers, contact Paul at pj2skis@skizinski.com or 303-482-6184.
