Englewood residents have gathered throughout this summer at the city's “SunSET Summer” concert series near city hall and the Englewood light rail station. And even though summer is winding down, the city still has a long list of events in store that will run into December.

Here's a look at the rest of this year's events organized or promoted by the City of Englewood.

Movie in the Park

The second of two “Movies in the Park” events takes place on Sept. 3. It's a showing of “Babe” at Belleview Park on the Jack Poole Field — with “special guests from the Englewood Farm,” the city's website says.

Silent Disco

The Englewood Silent Disco allows you to pick the music you want to dance to and listen as loud as you want. (At silent discos, people hear music through wireless headphones.) For those who don't feel like dancing, the event also offers snacks and a beer garden. It takes place 7-11 p.m. Sept. 10 at the CityCenter Amphitheater — near city hall and the Englewood light rail station at 1000 Englewood Parkway.

Neighborhood Rehab Project Day of Service

You can volunteer to give back to your community by making sure homes are warm, safe and dry for those in need. The “Be a Tool” event takes place Sept. 11. Learn more at BeaTool.org.

Last summer concert

The Walker Williams Band will perform at the CityCenter Amphitheater on Sept. 15.

Englewood Block Party

The annual Englewood Block Party closes down the 3400 block of South Broadway in downtown Englewood, just north of U.S. Highway 285 near Hampden Avenue. The event will offer live music, a different local band every hour, vendors from local businesses, food and a beer garden. It runs from 3-9 p.m. Sept. 18.

Symposium of Senior Safety

Learn all aspects of keeping seniors safe, healthy and aware of dangers. The event will offer advice about falls, fires, staying safe while out in the community and other topics. Space is limited. Call 303-762-2660 for registration.

The event is for those ages 55 and up, along with those aged 18 to 54 if space is available. It runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 22 at Malley Recreation Center.

Shred It Event

The Englewood Police Department is teaming up with Rittner Realty to help get rid of old and unwanted personal documents. The public can drive up to the Englewood Civic Center — city hall — in the “Circle Drive” and have documents unloaded and destroyed onsite for free. It runs from 9-11 a.m. Sept. 25.

Harvest Market

The City of Englewood is starting a “People's Market,” according to its website. The city is seeking businesses that sell unique arts and crafts, or food goods, including locally grown produce. Ideal vendors are “sustainably focused, passionate artisans, and use thoughtfully sourced ingredients,” the city's website says.

The market takes place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 2 at Grow + Gather, at 900 E. Hampden Ave.

Coffee With a Cop

Get to know your local police over coffee from 7:30-9 a.m. Oct. 6 at the Breakfast Queen, located at 3460 S. Broadway.

Rocky Mountain Weavers Guild, Fiber Arts Sale

You can come shop and watch weaving, spinning, knitting and other fiber art demonstrations. The event runs all day from Oct. 7 to Oct. 10 at Malley Recreation Center.

Harvest Lunch

Amid the “changing colors and fallen leaves,” you can eat a “delicious meal of ham, potatoes, green beans and carrot cake” at this event, along with some entertainment. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 the day of the event.

Intended for ages 55 and up, along with those 18 to 54 if space is available. The event runs 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at Malley Recreation Center.

National Prescription Drug Takeback Day

Properly dispose of your unwanted prescription and over-the-counter drugs at the Drug Takeback event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23 at Denny Miller Lot, directly across from the Englewood Police Department headquarters, south of Hampden Avenue on Elati Street.

Halloween event

Come in costume and walk through the maze of trunks handing out treats. You can vote on your favorite trunk while listening to festive music. Reservations are required and were to be available soon. Call the city at 303-762-2300 for details. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23 at the city hall parking garage's parking lot (possibly on the second floor).

Holiday bazaar

See more than 100 artisans and choose from handmade crafts and fine art — get a head start on your holiday shopping, the city says. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 and Nov. 7 Malley Recreation Center.

Harvest Market

This is an extension of the indoor bazaar, offering additional artisans and holiday treats, food trucks and music. It also runs Nov. 6 at Malley Recreation Center.

Harvest Market and Tree Lighting

You can browse for handmade crafts, snacks and art and wrap up your holiday shopping. Then take part in the celebration of lighting of the Englewood tree for the holidays. The event takes place noon-6 p.m. Dec. 4 at the roundabout in front of city hall.
