The Englewood High School administration underwent changes last
week with the resignation of principal Linda Torres and
reassignment of athletic director Vicci Carricato.
“Principal Linda Torres submitted her resignation and the
Englewood Board of Education accepted it during the Sept. 16
meeting,” said Shawn McDaniel, school superintendent. “Linda Torres
has served the district as EHS principal for more than two years
and she stated personal reasons triggered her decision to
resign.”
McDaniel said the district is launching a search for a new
principal. While that is being done, Brooke Davis, EHS assistant
principal, has been appointed to serve as the school’s principal
with Bobby Thomas now serving as assistant principal.
The superintendent also noted athletic director Carriocato has
been reassigned and Paul Evans has been named to fill the
position.
Brooke Davis has several years experience as a school
administrator and came to the Englewood district in as an English
teacher. She was assigned the duties of assistant principal at the
start of this school year. Evans has been a physical education
teacher and the school trainer for the past several years.
