Q&A with Sydnnia Wulff, candidate for State Board of Education, District 1

Party: Republican

Residence: Denver

Campaign website: sydnniaforcoloradoeducation.com

What makes you the best choice for this office?

An extreme decline of Colorado academic results requires a more objective, non-education board member. We need to bring back common sense in the classroom.

If you’re elected, which one single issue will be at the top of your agenda?

Reduce the 46% administrative allocation and place those funds in the classroom and schools.

If you’re elected, what must you accomplish in order for you to consider your term a success?

Increase academic results. Open funding to private schools. Increase length of school year. Increase teacher salaries.

In what ways will you ensure that schools with
underserved students have a voice to help them meet needs for COVID-19 recovery?

The impact of school closures on children of lower income families will be detrimental for many years into the future, robbing them of opportunities for a better future. It is necessary to open schools immediately to provide a learning environment and special tutoring to these students so we can help them get a high school and college degree so they can compete equally when entering the workforce.
