Sheridan Library will host an event to offer vaccine shots against COVID-19 and the flu for people ages 5 and older on Dec. 14, the Arapahoe Libraries district announced.

As usual, it is free to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, and no health insurance or ID are required. Anyone is welcome to get vaccinated, the event webpage says.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s mobile vaccine unit will be parked at Sheridan Library from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

After getting vaccinated, attendees can warm up inside the library with hot cocoa and cookies, according to the event webpage.

Vaccines available at the event were to include Pfizer (regular, booster and pediatric), Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson, along with flu shots. The pediatric COVID-19 vaccine is available for children ages 5 through 17.

The event takes place at the library located at 3425 W. Oxford Ave., a short drive south of U.S. Highway 285, west of Federal Boulevard.

The event will be held in partnership with an organization called Community, Research, Education and Awareness (CREA) Results and the University of Colorado, according to a news release.

CREA Results focuses on “building the assets of the immigrant community in Colorado by increasing health equity and economic security,” the organization’s website says. See more about CREA Results at crearesults.org.

To register for the event, see the page on the library district’s website here. For information without internet access, call the library district at 303-542-7279.
