Spring snow

Posted

An Englewood resident clears the heavy wet snow off the branches of a bush even as large, wet flakes continue to fall April 17. The spring storm dumped more than 11 inches of snow on Englewood. However, temperatures in the 60s on April 19 provided aggressive solar snow removal. The resulting snow melt flooded some storm drains and sent Big Dry Creek over its banks. The storm provided much needed moisture and the forecast of temperatures in the 70s promises to spark a period of rapid growth of the bushes, trees, grass and flowers.
